What cultural activities will there be in Cusco during the event?

The “Día de la Canción Criolla” is a Peruvian festival celebrated nation-wide on October 31st. In Cusco, there are several public and private activities like concerts, fairs, culinary explorations, local dishes tasting and contests among others, they vary every year.

The traditional festivity of “Todos Santos” is celebrated in Cusco on November 1st, also known as “Día de los vivos” (Day of the living), an alternative to Halloween. Activities include: Tasting of T'anta Wawa and Pan Caballo (special breads), Roasted suckling pig, Tamales and Baptism of T’anta Wawa.

The Drupal Latina Community is ready and committed to organize an international event. We have many experienced community leaders, and Drupal events appear in Latin America constantly.

Why Cusco?

It's near the world famous Machu Picchu. People from all over the world will enjoy coming together in this magic place.

Why Peru?

This is where the first Drupal Summit Latino was celebrated. In terms of logistics, Lima has an excellent international airport and it's located exactly in the center of Latin America. Plus, there are no Visa requirements for most people coming to Latin America from the rest of the world. Also, the country is affordable and offers lots of cultural and touristic attractions.

Why DrupalPicchu?

Picchu means Summit in quechua (Inca's official language), so DrupalPicchu means Drupal Summit. This gives an original and indigenous name to such an important historic event for the Drupal Latina Community.
